This Monday, July 30th, at 1:00 p.m., the public act of opening the proposals for the International Public Tender SATA-01/2023, which aims at the “Sale of a Shareholding in the Share Capital of SATA Internacional-Azores Airlines, S.A.,” will take place at the headquarters of SATA Holding, in Ponta Delgada.
As this is a public act, any interested party, including the media, may attend.
There will be no press conference before or after the public event, nor any statements by SATA Holding representatives to the media.
According to the President of SATA, Teresa Gonçalves, the privatization process of Azores Air Lines (which provides for the sale of 51% to 85% of the company’s share capital) “is on track,” and “everything is going well.”
“There are interested parties in the privatization of Azores Airlines”, recalled the administrator, recollecting that, shortly after the public tender is launched, potential buyers “will have 90 days to submit proposals” in a process that, despite everything, will be “time-consuming” and should be completed by the end of the year.
