For the first time, the Horta City Council has been awarded the “Autarquia + Familiarmente Responsável” (Most Family-Responsible Municipality) prize, awarded by the Observatory of Family-Responsible Municipalities (OAFR).
The Mayor of Horta, Carlos Ferreira, received the flag, a symbol of this distinction, at the ceremony that took place today, December 6, in the Auditorium of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra.
This distinction aims to recognize the transversal policies capable of welcoming and valuing the family, in order to foster a cohesive social fabric that guarantees generational renewal and the sustainability of the country.
Carlos Ferreira points out that “this city council has implemented programs that
transform this municipality into an engine of family-responsible policies”.
