Yesterday, the little ones paraded down Rua da Sé in Angra do Heroísmo and Rua de Jesus in Praia da Vitória to mark the return of Carnival.
The parades promoted by the Municipal Councils of Praia da Vitória and Angra do Heroísmo mark the start of the festivities and bring children from Terceira Island’s schools to the streets.


The joy and color of the most varied costumes stand out among painters, octopuses, and magicians.
Tradition has continued, and enthusiasm is in the air.
The Carnaval celebrations continue until next Tuesday, the 13th, with the traditional Carnaval danças, bailinhos and comédias.
