
Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira, will host the first-ever ‘Bitcoin Atlantis‘ conference from March 1st to the 3rd. The event is organized by F.R.E.E. Madeira—Fórum Regional Educação Económica (Regional Forum for Economic Education), a non-profit organization committed to introducing Bitcoin into the autonomous region of Madeira. The association focuses on various topics, including financial and technological education.
The three-day professional gathering will take place at the Barreiros Stadium (Estádio do CS Marítimo), and is expected to attract around 5,000 attendees from diverse corners of the globe. Boasting a lineup of over a hundred speakers, the event will showcase prominent figures in the global high-tech industry, including Jack Dorsey (USA), co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Square; Michael Saylor (USA), the visionary CEO of MicroStrategy; Jack Mallers (USA), founder and CEO of Strike; and Jeff Booth (Canada), the accomplished General Partner at Ego Death Capital and chairman of various industry-leading enterprises.
In addition to the leading conference, various satellite events will run in parallel, with a special spotlight on a ‘pitch day’ for new startups targeting global venture capital companies. As part of the leisurely offerings, participants can also immerse themselves in the rhythms of a music festival and revel in cinematic delights at a dedicated film festival.
