Once again, in the fall of 2024, the Modern and Classical Languages and Literature Department at Fresno State, part of the College of Arts and Humanities, will offer a class dedicated to the Azores. This is a unique opportunity for Fresno State students to learn in-depth about the Azores through the rich tradition of Azorean literature. The class will also offer an array of guest speakers and a segment on connections between the Azores and California. As with all classes, space is limited, so students at Fresno State should sign up soon and not wait to be on a waitlist. The course is part of our minor in Portuguese and can also be used for other general education requirements. The course is a no-cost course, as far as the required readings, for all the books are given to the students, at no cost, through the Portuguese Beyond Borders Institute.
