“THE PHOTOGRAPHER”: A Heart of Gold

Any time someone calls you by your profession and puts a “The” in front of it ~ You Know You Got It Goin On! 😉 Meaning, you’re so talented and everyone recognizes your work to the point that they don’t even have to mention your name! That’s respect right there!

In this case, “The Photographer” I am referring to is very well-known in the Azores island of Terceira; JEdgardo Vieira, whom I admire! Here is one of his beautiful photos of one of my favorite flowers; Hydrangeas. I loved this photo so much that I made it one of my cover photos. His work is worth checking out!

He is not only extremely talented but he is one of the most REALEST and humble people you could meet. He is one of those special souls who would literally give you the shirt off his back if he needed to, and I respect that to the highest degree. It’s often that souls with these characteristics, many times, unfortunately, get taken for granted. He is a rare gem that shines so bright. I admire his positive attitude, and his awesome way of making everyone around him smile and laugh ~ that is a gift in and of itself ~ especially when the world around us sometimes feels anything but joyful.

I’ve learned, sometimes in the most painful of ways, that God takes and brings people out and into your life when you most need it. He knows best. Last year, I was going through a horrible time and it was as if God brought me a new friend; another “earth angel” to add to my tribe. A new friend to bring new life into my darkness. His words and his support have lifted me up off the ground more times than I can count. Even in the toughest of moments, when I felt worthless to the world, JEdgardo was there to SNAP me out of it!

A heart of GOLD! That’s what he has and that’s what he is! It’s important to remember and acknowledge that we all have bad days and bad moments, but it’s also important to realize WHO was there to help uplift us ~ and for that ~ “The Photographer” will always have my respect and friendship! Like I always say, the world needs more Edgardos!
