
This August, the Mirante Rooftop at the Senhora da Rosa Tradition & Nature Hotel in São Miguel will host João Bívar, a sushi chef known for his time at Sushi dos Sá Morais and his restaurant, Shun, both in Lisbon.
According to the information provided, for a month you will be able to taste the freshness of classic sushi at the hands of this renowned national chef, against the backdrop of the green Azorean landscape.
So, sushi chef João Bívar, known for his time at Sushi dos Sá Morais, in Marquês de Pombal, and later at his restaurant Shun, in Campo de Ourique, both in Lisbon, is in São Miguel for a month-long takeover at Mirante Rooftop Bar, which continues its commitment to Asian cuisine. As well as sushi, Asian-inspired main courses will also be available.

The Mirante Rooftop Bar has always had a concept linked to oriental cuisine, which seeks to respect and value one of the best things we have in the Azores, which is our beautiful coastline and the excellence and quality of the fish that comes from it,” explains Joana Damião Melo, co-owner and director of Senhora da Rosa, Tradition & Nature Hotel, quoted in a press release. “We want to continue to be a reference in this type of cuisine, offering moments of authentic immersion, both in Asia and in the Azores.”
With a stunning view of the island, the Mirante Rooftop Bar is located in the main building of the Senhora da Rosa, Tradition & Nature Hotel. It has 25 seats and 50 on the outdoor terrace,
