On the morning of Thursday 8th, Praínha hosted an awareness-raising event on the precautions and preventative measures for sun exposure, focusing on the importance of using sunscreen, particularly at this time of year. This activity, which the City Council joined, is part of the “Os Bravos” project, run by the School Health Sector of the Terceira Island Health Unit – Praia da Vitória Health Center. Information panels and sunscreen are available in all the Blue Flag bathing areas in the municipality.
The Azores Oncology Center, the Parish Councils, and the Board of Directors of the Terceira Island Health Unit are also partners in this initiative.
