Through the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing, and Employment, the Government of the Azores has launched a bid to transfer six infrastructure plots on the island of Santa Maria for the construction of permanent housing.
According to the announcement of the public tender published today in the Official Journal, it involves the transfer, subject to ownership, of six infrastructure plots for the construction of single-family homes, which does not include the architectural project and specialty projects, including two plots in the Outeiro-Roças subdivision, in the parish of São Pedro, and four plots in the Lombas II subdivision, in the parish of Vila do Porto, both in the municipality of Vila do Porto. Interested parties can apply using the form available from the Santa Maria Island Service of the Regional Housing Directorate, located at Rua do Mercado, in Vila do Porto, or at the RIAC – Integrated Citizen Support Network service points, from September 6 and for the following 30 days.
The sale of these plots, using a public bid, takes place within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which provides for the allocation of a total of 145 infrastructure plots in the region to be sold by the end of 2025, says Maria João Carreiro, Regional Secretary for Youth, Housing, and Employment.
