From today, September 13th, until the 29th, various commercial areas on the islands will host a campaign to promote and advertise products certified with the Azores Brand seal.
The initiative comes from the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Food through the Azores Brand Management and Promotion Office.
The campaign, with the slogan “Choose what is ours,” will be in 43 hypermarkets and supermarkets on all the archipelago’s islands.
The campaign’s membership is higher than last year when 23 stores on the islands of Santa Maria, São Miguel, Terceira, Pico, and Faial participated.

CONSUME WHAT IS OURS
The campaign aims to encourage consumers to opt for what is produced locally, “thus contributing to the development of Azorean companies and the promotion of their products, especially food products,” according to a note sent to DI by the organization.
In 33 partner establishments in this project, there will also be spaces dedicated to the promoters for showing and tasting their products certified with the Marca Açores seal.
There are currently around 6,300 references for products, services, and establishments with the Azores Brand seal in a universe of 297 Azorean companies.
Replacing imports and encouraging exports have been the main objectives of the Azores Brand since it was created.
The idea has been promoted by the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Food, António Ventura, who is currently politically responsible for the Azores Brand.
