In Madeira Island, Machico inaugurated its Christmas Market for the first time yesterday. It will be open until January 5, 2025, in Praça do Fórum Machico. The space is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 18h00 to 24h00 (6 PM until midnight) and on Saturdays and Sundays from 16h00 to 24h00 (4 PM until midnight).

This event promises to bring even more magic to the festive season. Local associations and artisans will participate, presenting typical gastronomy and handicraft products.

In a statement, the municipality highlights the special dynamic of this space, located next to the Christmas Village and a mini children’s amusement park, which offers moments of leisure and entertainment for the whole family.

The calendar for this event is already available on the municipality’s social networks, allowing the public to find out about the associations and artisans present on each date.

“This initiative not only promotes local commerce and traditions, but also reinforces community spirit and turns Machico into a Christmas destination not to be missed,” says the municipality, which also adds that the creation of this market, together with the Christmas Village and the mini amusement park for children, reinforces its commitment to offering a unique Christmas experience that energizes the city center.

In the same note, the Town Hall invites everyone to visit the Machico Christmas Market and celebrate this season in an even more special way.
