Marriott, one of the largest and most prestigious hotel chains in the world, with a presence in more than 140 countries, more than 8,000 hotels, and more than 30 brands in its portfolio, is scheduled to open in April this year, demonstrating its confidence in the tourism potential of the Azores and reinforcing its position as a hub for economic development.
The new unit, on the island of São Miguel, more specifically in Alameda de Belém, in Fajã de Baixo, will have 60 rooms, with panoramic views of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, guaranteeing a unique experience of comfort and natural charm on the largest island in the Azores, representing another important step in the region’s tourism growth, consolidating it as an increasingly attractive and international destination.
The hotel will offer multiple amenities, including a heated indoor pool, massage center, sauna, Turkish bath, and fully equipped gym, providing guests with relaxation and well-being. The outdoor pool will be a highlight for those who prefer the outdoors. Business travelers will find meeting and conference rooms at their disposal. Guests can enjoy a restaurant, bar, and terrace, with options combining the best of local and international cuisine, creating a diverse and sophisticated gastronomic experience.
The new hotel will be managed by Filipe Frias, the hotel’s General Manager, who, with his vast experience in the sector, will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel meets the Marriott chain’s demanding standards of quality and service, reflecting the excellence that characterizes all the chain’s hotels.
The hotel is currently in the recruitment phase, an opportunity for professionals who want to join one of the world’s most renowned hotel chains.
