In March 2025, 149,413 passengers disembarked at Azorean airports.
Passengers disembarking from other regions of the national territory amounted to 72,986, inter-island 61,551, and international 14,876.
Regarding the type of flight, there was a positive year-on-year variation of 5.3% in passengers boarding territorial flights and 1.6% in inter-island flights. On the other hand, there was a negative year-on-year variation of 4.0% on international flights.
In terms of passenger disembarking and type of flight, there was a year-on-year monthly increase of 3.9% in passengers disembarking on territorial flights and 1.6% on inter-island flights. On the other hand, there was a year-on-year decrease of 2.3% in international flights.
By island, those with a positive monthly year-on-year change in air passenger arrivals were: Pico (15.4%), São Jorge (12.9%), Faial (6.5%), Corvo (5.8%), Terceira (2.8%), and São Miguel (1.5%). Conversely, Graciosa (-9.1%), Santa Maria (-7.9%) and Flores (-5.6%) showed a negative monthly year-on-year change in passenger arrivals.
For the first quarter of 2025, the islands with the greatest positive variation were Faial, with 7.6%, followed by São Miguel, with 3.2%, São Jorge, with 2.9%, and Terceira and Graciosa, both with 2.6%.
The islands of Corvo, with -6.8%, Flores, with -4.9%, Santa Maria, with -3.7% and Pico, with -1.3%, show a negative year-on-year variation in passengers disembarked in the first quarter.
