A postgraduate course in Artificial Intelligence and Tourism 4.0, an initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of the Azores (UAc), is open for enrollment until May 31 and will be held in a hybrid format with classes taking place simultaneously, in person, in Angra do Heroísmo, and online.
Classes begin on September 4, totaling 100 contact hours and awarding 12 ECTS credits, and take place after working hours. They are taught by faculty from UAc and other national and international institutions, namely Rosen College (USA), NOVA IMS, ISEG, University of Minho, European University, and the Military Academy.
The postgraduate course is mainly aimed at technicians, executives, and managers of companies in the field of tourism who wish to deepen their knowledge of management in times of change, artificial intelligence, technology applied to process management, and revenue management; and professionals at the beginning of their careers who wish to acquire technological skills and maximize their competitiveness in the job market, according to a note from the University of the Azores.
The course aims to promote skills in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in tourism among students, improving their technological integration capabilities in business and fostering their ability to adopt technological innovation and manage change, according to the same note.
