The City Council is installing a new PVC pipe along a 3-kilometer stretch to supply the water reservoir located in Vales, Santa Cruz. The reservoir originates from the Caldeirão spring. This work will replace the old water supply pipe and thus improve the quantity and quality of water supplied to the reservoir.

The improvement of the water distribution network and the public water supply system in the municipality of Santa Cruz das Flores has been an ongoing and daily task for this City Council, as evidenced by the various and successive seals of excellence awarded annually to this municipality by ERSARA in the classification of water quality for human consumption. These seals contribute to strengthening consumer confidence in the quality of tap water.

José Carlos Mendes highlights the excellent quality of tap water in our municipality. This is fully confirmed by the rigorous quality control to which our tap water is subjected through regular laboratory analyses carried out by accredited independent bodies, complying with the most demanding national and European legal requirements.
