In the first quarter of 2025, 214 companies (legal entities and similar entities) were established in the Azores, representing a 5.9% increase compared to the same quarter last year, according to data from the Quarterly Bulletin, published by the Azores Regional Statistics Service (SREA).

In comparative terms, during the first quarter of 2024, 202 companies were established in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, representing a 23.2% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023.

In the first quarter of 2025, 39 companies (legal persons and equivalent entities) were dissolved in the Azores, representing a 7.1% decrease compared to the same quarter last year. The balance of incorporation and dissolution of legal persons and equivalent entities is positive (175) in the reference quarter. In the first quarter of 2024, 42 companies (legal persons and equivalent entities) were dissolved in the Azores.
