
The 11th edition of the White Festival will take place in Angra do Heroísmo next Friday, with a dozen live performances and the participation of around 30 commercial establishments, most of which will offer special promotions and discounts. The initiative is promoted by the municipality of Angra, in partnership with the Angra do Heroísmo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The program kicks off with the opening of the Handicraft Fair at 6:00 p.m. at Páteo da Alfândega. At 7:00 p.m., the musical entertainment begins. DJ Pedro Alves will be at the Páteo da Alfândega, and André Freitas and the duo Camomila will be on Rua da Palha. At Prior do Crato, there will be live broadcasts of the RCA Playlist with Miguel Bettencourt and Giradiscos with Lino, as well as a performance by DoubleTrouble. DJs Jorge Pacheco and Rui Fonseca will perform at Praça Velha, starting at 7:30 p.m. The acoustic duo Contos de Rei will perform on Rua Direita at 9:00 p.m., and the rock trio Santa Paz will perform at 10:30 p.m. On Rua de São João, the Brazilian music group De Cá e de Lá will perform at 9:30 p.m., and the band AtomicFingers will perform covers of songs from the 80s and 90s, accompanied by DJ Christof, starting at 11 p.m.
The Festa Branca also features roaming entertainment with Eh Palhaças, starting at 8:30 p.m., and roaming music with Batukes at 10:00 p.m. On Thursday and Friday, participating stores will offer customers a ticket with each purchase, which will allow them to collect gifts on the 11th. To do so, customers must go to Páteo da Alfândega and spin a wheel to receive their gifts.
