Fuel prices in the Azores have increased since Saturday, November 1. According to a Regional Government order published yesterday in the Official Journal, the cost of unleaded gasoline will rise by 2.3 cents to €1.619 per liter, and diesel will increase by 0.8 cents to €1.436 per liter. Another order also stipulates that the price of colored diesel for agriculture and fisheries will increase by 8 cents per liter. Colored and marked diesel consumed in agriculture will now cost €1.065 per liter, and colored and marked diesel consumed in fishing will now cost €0.875 per liter.
As for butane gas, it will increase by 2.2 cents/kilogram in November (+2.1 cents if sold in bulk). Thus, butane gas sold to the public at the retailer’s establishment in bottles of 26 liters or more will now cost €1.674 per kilo, and that sold in 24-liter bottles made of lightweight materials (up to eight kilos of container) will cost €1.870 per kilo. Piped butane gas will now cost €1.674/kg and bulk butane gas €1.271 per kilo. The Azorean executive explains the price adjustment as due to “recent variations in the international market for reference prices of petroleum and energy products.”
