The Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security, Mónica Seidi, announced on Friday that new features are now available to all Azoreans registered with mySaúde Açores.
At the ceremony marking the integration of the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo (HDES) in Ponta Delgada into the platform, which concluded the process of integrating all health units and hospitals in the archipelago, the minister emphasized that users of the Regional Health Service (SRS) can use the app to view waiting times in emergency rooms.
This applies to users with Manchester triage, providing information on how many people are waiting and which category they are in, all updated in real time.
Another new feature is the ability to access referrals for consultations and surgeries, provided the respective registration date. Satisfaction surveys on the care provided are now also available, enabling closer monitoring of users’ needs and continuous service improvement.
Mónica Seidi thanked the professionals involved for their work and dedication, noting the effort required to upload all the information, which was particularly complex given the size and high number of HDES users. The uploading of clinical episode histories since January 1, 2024, is still ongoing.
The application mySaúde Açores is co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and has Siemens Healthineers as its technology partner. The project achieved its registration target ahead of schedule, with more than 30,000 Azoreans already registered on the application.
Mónica Seidi reaffirms her confidence in a project that, she emphasizes, positions the Azores archipelago as a visionary in the use of new technologies to improve healthcare delivery in a territory marked by geographical dispersion, placing users at the center of the healthcare system.
