
The President of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (ALRAA), Luís Garcia, today expressed his satisfaction with the favorable opinion issued by the Court of Auditors on the Legislative Assembly’s accounts for the 2024 financial year, delivered this afternoon at the headquarters of the Azorean Parliament in Horta. “The opinion issued by the Court of Auditors demonstrates this Legislative Assembly’s commitment to good management, transparency, and responsibility in the use of the public resources entrusted to it,” said the President of the Legislative Assembly, emphasizing “the dedication and professionalism of all services, whose daily work is crucial to achieving excellent results.”
The financial and budgetary statements of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores for the year 2024 were subject to legal certification of accounts, with the Court of Auditors issuing a “favorable opinion, without reservations, without emphasis, and without recommendations,” as confirmed by the President of the Court of Auditors, Dr. Filipa Calvão. The opinion was delivered to the President of the Azorean Parliament by the President of the Court of Auditors, Dr. Filipa Calvão, accompanied by the Judges of the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira, Cristina Flora and Paulo Pereira Gouveia, and by the members of the special collective responsible for approving the opinions. On the same occasion, the opinion on the Autonomous Region of the Azores’ accounts for the same financial year was also delivered. Both opinions will now be forwarded to the relevant Standing Specialized Committees for due consideration.
