The Municipal Library of Velas once again hosted the “Livros com Chá” (Books with Tea) event. This initiative promotes reading and social interaction, in this case with the elderly residents of the João Inácio de Sousa Nursing Home.

Participants had the opportunity to taste sweet treats with tea, access various literary works, listen to stories, and read.

The Municipal Library thus continues to be a privileged space for promoting reading, inclusive and accessible to all, and for fostering social and cultural integration.

With this additional activity, the Municipality maintains its commitment to being ever closer to its elderly citizens, strengthening community ties and promoting their well-being.
