The Regional Government of the Azores, through the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government, has just launched the Invest In Azores digital platform to boost foreign investment and promote the region internationally.

Invest In Azores centralizes all institutional communication on business opportunities, available incentives, and the competitive advantages of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, serving as an operational platform for attracting foreign investment. The new platform integrates all activities related to prospecting and monitoring potential investors into a single channel, enhancing the international visibility of the Azores through a strategy of proximity, credibility, and continuity.

For the Vice President of the Regional Government, Artur Lima, the launch of Invest In Azores “is unequivocally representative of the Government’s action to strengthen the presence of the Azores on the national and international map, in an increasingly competitive global context.” The official stressed that the Azores Government has been creating competitive conditions to attract investment, “including a highly advantageous tax regime, modern infrastructure, and a strong commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.”

The region “has been on a path of economic and technological transformation,” Artur Lima pointed out, adding, however, that “the government continues to act to boost foreign investment and promote diversification, modernization, and competitiveness in the Azores economy.”

“Our privileged position, at the crossroads between Europe, America, and Africa, makes the Azores a natural hub for global business and investment,” he said. This location “is now strategic for global digital connectivity or for sectors such as Research and Data Science,” the Vice President pointed out. In this regard, “the Government of the Azores has been working to promote the region as the ideal destination for investment in these and other areas,” he said.

“It is this same spirit that was present when the region joined DETA, the International Alliance for Disruptive and Emerging Technologies, this year,” said Artur Lima.
