The President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, is the guest speaker at the 37th session of the “Conversations at the House of Lusophony,” promoted by the University of Coimbra (UC) and taking place on Monday, the 15th. The lecture, entitled “Azores – Seas of Our History, Ocean of Our Future,” will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the House of Lusophony at UC.

The session will feature opening remarks by the UC Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni, João Nuno Calvão da Silva, and by the former President of the Association of Young Azoreans United for the Azores (JAUPA), Hélio Ávila. Closing remarks will be delivered by the President of JAUPA, Bruna A. Garcia, and by the Rector of the University of Coimbra, Amílcar Falcão.

The event will also include a musical moment of Coimbra Fado and a social gathering at the end. Admission is free.

The “Conversations at the House of Lusophony” series is an initiative designed to bring together current and former students—both national and international—of the University of Coimbra, by welcoming distinguished figures to discuss pressing and defining issues of our time.
