The Angra do Heroísmo City Council, in partnership with the Angra do Heroísmo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAH), promoted the “Angra Prendas Mil” campaign during the Christmas season, between November 21 and December 27, 2025, with the aim of boosting consumption in local commerce.

The initiative involved the participation of 65 establishments from various sectors of activity, a similar number to the previous edition.

This year, the campaign started a week earlier, allowing it to cover a longer period of consumption.

As part of the campaign, customers of participating establishments received tokens to participate in a raffle for shopping vouchers, worth a total of €6,500, distributed across ten prizes of €650 each. Contests were also promoted on social media, with additional prizes awarded.

Throughout the 2025 edition, 73,550 tickets were distributed, 13,550 more than in the previous year. This growth reflects the positive impact of extending the campaign period and the strong public participation.

The final draw took place on December 29, in Praça Velha, where the campaign tombola was located.

The Window Shopping Competition, with 19 establishments participating, boosted the commercial fabric and active participation in Christmas activities.

The Mayor of Angra do Heroísmo, Fátima Amorim, points out that “this campaign was the result of joint work with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was a tool to support economic activity, reinforcing the attractiveness of traditional commerce, its competitiveness during the Christmas season, and, ultimately, encouraging local consumption.”
