On the morning of January 6, the Filarmónica Recreio Ribeirense marked its 126th anniversary in a solemn and memorable way, with the traditional visit to City Hall to present formal greetings.
The delegation was warmly received by the Municipal Executive, represented by Vice President Manuel Pimentel and Councilman Amílcar Goulart, who underscored the institution’s historical and cultural significance. They also highlighted the role of the Philharmonic’s younger members, whose dedication has been essential to the continuity, renewal, and development of the organization.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of the Philharmonic as one of the region’s cultural pillars, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote music, culture, and community engagement.
For more than a century, the Filarmónica Recreio Ribeirense has played a central role in the cultural and social life of the community, training generations of musicians and energizing events that strengthen identity ties and broaden access to culture.
