The Câmara de Lobos Parish Council is promoting a Music Festival with concerts on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 20th, featuring groups based in the parish.
A Music Festival with “home-grown talent,” aiming to enhance and promote the musical heritage of the parish and the municipality, showcasing young musicians from the Mandolin Orchestra and three philharmonic bands based in the parish.
Four concerts will be held at the São Sebastião Parish Church, with performances by small groups. On the 14th, a “Clarinet Trio” from the Câmara de Lobos Municipal Band will perform, on the 15th it will be the turn of a “Brass Quintet” from the Banda Recreio Camponês, while on the 16th, a Saxophone Quartet from the Os Infantes Orchestral Band will perform. All these concerts will start at 8 pm. On the 17th, at 9 pm, the Câmara de Lobos Mandolin Orchestra will perform.
The Casa da Cultura de Câmara de Lobos will host the last concert on the 20th, starting at 8:00 p.m., featuring the “Lobos Brass Quintet.” This performance is part of the formal ceremony for Parish Day, which will take place there.
