The number of individuals and families receiving Social Integration Income (RSI) in the Autonomous Region of the Azores declined almost continuously between January and November 2025, with a direct impact on the overall value of benefits processed.

In January, there were 6,482 beneficiaries and 2,795 families; in November, the figures fell to 5,472 beneficiaries and 2,397 families.

In absolute terms, this corresponds to 1,010 fewer beneficiaries (-15.6%) and 398 fewer families (-14.2%) in the period under review. The month with the fewest beneficiaries was October (5,467), followed by November with a slight increase of five people, while the number of families continued to decline, reaching the lowest figure of the year in November.

The reduction in the number of beneficiaries was accompanied by a drop in the amount processed. In January, the estimated monthly amount processed was €894,159.37; in November, it fell to €759,938.37, a decrease of €134,221.00 (-15.0%).

Over the 11 months (January to November), the total amount processed was €9,064,019.69, which is equivalent to an average of around €824,000 per month. At the same time, the average amount per family ranged from €331.37 (maximum in March) to €317.04 (minimum in November), with an average of €321.37 over the period.

The largest monthly decline in the number of families occurred in April (78 fewer than in March). Among beneficiaries, the largest decline occurred in August (180 fewer than in July), in a year marked by a downward trend that only showed signs of stabilizing at the beginning of the last quarter, although without reversing the trend in the family indicator.
