Two companies incubated at the Terceira Island Science and Technology Park (Terinov) have already moved into new facilities, a moment highlighted by the park’s executive director.
“Terinov’s mission is precisely to boost entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development in the region. Seeing companies complete our incubation programs with a view to expanding and establishing their activities is the best proof that we are achieving our goals. Therefore, we can only be satisfied with these results,” said Duarte Pimentel, quoted in a press release.
Redcatpig and Dom Azores, based at Terinov, have completed their incubation and business development programs and moved their operations to new facilities.
“These are two examples that highlight the decisive role that Terinov plays in supporting the creation, growth, and consolidation of business projects,” said the park’s executive director.
Redcatpig is a video game studio created in 2019, which is now entering a new phase of expansion and affirmation in the global technology market.
The company, which also has operations in Lisbon and Madeira, currently has around 50 employees and has promoted its video games internationally.
In addition, it provides B2B services to international studios and publishers and is part of the EgamesLab consortium, the largest video game research group in Portugal, benefiting from access to foreign investment and the support of leading scientific and business entities in the entertainment sector.
Dom Azores, based in the parish of Agualva, is a company guided by ESG (Environment, Society, and Good Governance) principles, committed to creating inclusive and sustainable businesses in the areas of technology, creativity, and agribusiness.
The Dom Azores team is mainly composed of people with disabilities, incapacities, or neurodivergence, with a total of 25 employees.
Officially inaugurated in July 2020, Terinov currently has 98 projects installed and more than 330 human resources assigned to its ecosystem.
