The President of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (ALRAA), Luís Garcia, has congratulated António José Seguro on his election as President of the Republic, highlighting the high level of democratic participation and the clear expression of the will of the Portuguese people in the presidential elections.

According to the President of the Legislative Assembly, “the election of António José Seguro represents a significant moment in our democratic life and reflects citizens’ confidence in public institutions.”

Praising the commitment expressed by the president-elect to national cohesion, the independence of the office, and the defense of the public interest, Luís Garcia emphasized the importance of these values for “strengthening democracy and deepening institutional dialogue between the sovereign bodies of the State and the Autonomous Regions.”
