The Municipality of Lajes das Flores has approved its Municipal Budget for 2026, with a total value of €5,826,686. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of €787,647, primarily the result of growth in capital revenues, allowing for a stronger investment in the development of the municipality.

The main priorities of this budget focus on economic revitalization and job creation, housing, the preservation of heritage and infrastructure, and the strengthening of cooperation and close collaboration with the parish councils.

In the area of economic growth, the budget reflects the creation of measures aimed at encouraging investment and attracting new businesses to the municipality, directly promoting the creation of additional jobs. The continued development of the Business Incubator also remains a priority.

This budget embodies the Municipal Executive’s vision for a more dynamic, more sustainable municipality with better conditions in which to live, work, and invest.
